I’ll lend you for
a while a child of mine, He said, for you to love the while he lives, and have My comfort when he’s dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, but will you, until he comes back home, Take care of him for Me. He will bring his charms to gladden you and, should his stay be brief, you will have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. |
|
Life does not promise he will stay.since all from heaven must return. But there are lessons to be taught down there,I want this child to learn. I have looked the whole world over in search of teachers true, and from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love nor think the labour vain, for My great reward I’ll give to you when you come home again. |

I
fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord Thy will be done, for all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run. We’ll shelter him with tenderness, we’ll love him whilst we may. And for all the happiness we’ve known, forever grateful stay. But should Your angels call for him, much sooner than we’d planned. We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes,....and on Your Word we’ll stand. Anon |
| Tyler's
ashes are buried on the farm, Blackhills. In the Northern Province of South
Africa. It's a tranquil haven by the Dam Wall, beneath a tall "Jackal Berry
Tree" (African Ebony) Where in the summer evenings, soft eyed Kudu with
their huge, coral lined ears, cautiously appear to dine on the Jackal Berries.
Vervet monkeys squabble good naturedly in the Monkey Orange trees nearby,
just across from the entrance to the Hunters camp. It is a place full of beauty, family memories and laughter, where one can be still and know that Gods presence is in this.... "Tyler's Place"... and He is watching over him. |

Dirty little
face, eyes of purest blue,
came into our lives, to spend a year or two. Sticky kisses in the mornin’, hurry home each night, always first to greet me. Hugs my neck real tight. Knowin’ that he’s there, knowin’ that he cares, brings the greatest peace and joy to me. Knowin’ that he’s there, knowin’ that he cares, brings the greatest peace and joy to me. |

Loves to play
his music, sweet praise unto the Lord.
His soul in sweet composure, always wanting more. Talkin’ with the Spirit, hearin’ secret things, Locked inside his heart, all that the Saviour brings. Knowin’ that he’s there, knowin’ that he cares, brings the greatest peace and joy to me. Knowin’ that he’s there, knowin’ that he cares, brings the greatest peace and joy to me. |

But now he’s with his Jesus, it’s where he’d want to be,
learnin’ things of Heaven, but not forgettin'’ Mom and me One day we’ll go to meet him, with all his love and charm, once again a family, safe in the Fathers arms Knowin’ that He’s there, knowin’ that He cares, brings the greatest peace and joy to me Knowin’ that he’s there safe in the Fathers care, brings the greatest peace and joy to me. |
